There are many types of restaurant. In this English lesson, we will cover what you need to say in fast food restaurants, regular sit down restaurants, and luxury fine dining restaurants. 

现在有很多类型的餐厅。在这堂英语课当中，我们将涵盖你在快餐店，常规饭店，豪华的高档餐厅怎么去说。

Fast Food 快餐 

McDonald's is a popular restaurant, so I will use McDonald's as an example. The only thing you do when you go to a fast food restaurant is to go to the counter and order your food, then pay for it. That's all. Let's go through some quick sentences. 

麦当劳是一家很受欢迎的餐厅，所以我将以麦当劳为例。当你去一家快餐店的时候你要做的只是去柜台点餐，然后付费。这就是完成了。
让我们去快速地说几句吧。

"Welcome to McDonald's. May I take your order?"  

欢迎来到麦当劳，可以为你点餐吗？

"I'll take a Big Mac and a small coke."  

我要一个巨无霸汉堡和一小杯可乐。

"One Big Mac and one small coke. Will that be all?"

"Yes."

"Will that be for here or to go?" 

你是在这吃还是带走？

"For here please."

"The total comes to $3.87."

A common mistake is to answer yes or no when you don't know the answer. I heard of many stories when the cashier asks, 'for here or to go', and the person says, 'yes'. It is simple to avoid this mistake by studying and being prepared. 

一个常见的错误是当你不知道答案的时候，你就回答“是”或“不是”，我听了太多这种故事，当收银员问，“在这里还是带走”，这个人回答是“是的”。通过学习和做好准备就能简单的避免这样的错误。

In most fastfood restaurants, it is even easier to order. They have value meals and you just have to say a number.

"I'll take number 2."

But the difference is that there are sizes. 但区别在于有大小之分。

"Would you like medium, large, or super size?"

"Medium please."
